Nostalgia
I miss the days back in 2006-2010 when a lot of people were into japanese music and I could find lots of cool new bands, talk to other fans, we used to make a lot of related graphics and the journal sphere seemed much more active in general.
Nowadays, although my interests have shifted a bit, I still keep those times in my heart. It was just so much fun! Everyday you found something new, something worth ranting for hours and worth iconing or making a layout of.
Have you experienced this, with this fandom or another one? I'm curious!

I feel like the journalsphere is just... not as popular anymore with the rise of sites like twitter and tumblr. :( It's slower paced and requires more active engagement than liking+retweeting.

Liking and retweeting is killing all interaction.
