I completely abandoned this place and I'm feeling a bit nostalgic about it lately. Not just DW but the whole site making, graphic making, designing, forum thing. I hate social networks because they killed the way in which we used to create and use websites way back.

Is anyone still making fansites? Any good forums for sharing sites and graphics? Amassment died and it was the only place I knew about and the last one I joined...

I stopped making layouts because I feel like my skills have rotten in comparison to everyone else. Would love to relearn but don't know of any good current resources. Ahh...

I don't know. I'm going on holiday this week and will post again soon when I'm back. Maybe think about the whole creative craving I'm having.

I'm on vacation until the end of August and I really can't believe it. It's been a hell of a year (I'll be working on my current job for one year starting september). I fucking deserve it, honestly.

What will I do during vacation? Well, I want to basically read, play videogames, spend time with my boyfriend and take a rest.

Maybe even coming back at making graphics? Some Icons, maybe change my current layout here on dreamwidth. Or updating my network! Who knows.

I feel like big changes are coming so I need to be well rested before that happens. At least I hope some things change shortly...

Anyway! A small update to keep this thing alive and kicking. Hope everyone's safe and happy.

Jag är så trött idag. Min mor är sjuk, så vi tog henne till sjukhuset. Nu hon mår bra. Hon är mit mig hemma ♥

My last post was in May. I had such a rough time since January 2020 up until September 2020, and now we are already in February 2021. So what happened?

The pandemic arrived shortly after I lost my father.

I basically had no income and was behind paying bills, with the only help of friends and family.

I couldn't have survived, were not for them ♥

I couldn't see Aaron for 3 months straight, since we were all in confinement.

And, finally, in September, I got a job. It's been 5 months already, this is my first time working in the same place for so long.

I finally got a Nintendo Switch for myself for Christmas, something I had been longing for since it came out.

I can say I'm taking care of myself, paying bills and living an ordinary but calm life lately. If nothing goes terribly wrong, it will be this way up until June 2021.

I started reading Stephen King's The Stand short before the pandemic spread across the globe. Quite fitting of me to do that. Just in time, girl!

I'm loving it to pieces. I already loved the story, as shown in the TV series from the 90s. And even though they changed bits and pieces of it for TV, as I know now by reading the book, it remains one of my all time faves.

The book is exquisite, as I always hope for in King. He may be my favourite writer and someday I want to read him in full english. But it's way easier to get a hold of any book in spanish here so we never give it much thought lol.

Do you think translated versions lose magic? I do. Sometimes you just feel there's something off with the translation. I hate when that happens! Even then, I love me some Stephen king.
